Space Shuttle Columbia

All material is United States Government property and is critical to the investigation of the shuttle accident. Any and all material from the accident is to be left alone and reported to Government authorities. Unauthorized persons found in possession of accident material will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

This exhibit includes two maps generated by SFASU for the Columbia recovery effort.

Shuttle Material Recovery Update

On February 1st 2003 the Space Shuttle Columbia was lost during its re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere.
A large-scale investigation began immediately. The Columbia Accident Investigation Board made its full report
available on October 28, 2003.
