The FRI Menu System

The FRI menu system consists of a JavaScript menu occupying the left portion of each page. The menu is always there and always the same, regardless of the page currently displayed. The only exception to this rule are pages that are not owned and maintained by FRI. We respect the the rights of other web site creators and maintainers and do not attempt to capture their content within our framework. In all such cases, the foreign web pages are opened in a new window, leaving the FRI web site window open and available underneath the new windows.

To navigate the FRI web site using the menus, click on the menu heading you wish to visit. In most cases, a second level of menu options will appear, indented slightly. Click a second time on one of the new menu item to visit that page. On the other hand, if you select a menu item by mistake, clicking on a new heading will take you directly to the new subheadings. In some cases, the menu heading are linked directly to the appropriate content page. In others, the menu will take you to a page of further choices. For example, clicking "About FRI" and "Newsletters" will take you to a page listing all issues of the FRI Newsletter, the Monitor, that have been released. Click again on a particular issue to see a PDF format version of the newsletter.

Remember that the menus can be used to navigate to any page in the FRI website from any other page at any time. Use it as a shortcut to the content you want.
